About the author

I am Barkha Goenka, studying MA Multimedia Journalism at the University of Westminster, London. 

I am an adept journalist, social media analyst and content writer from India with experience of working with print and online media companies like The Times Of India and India Next Media (Nation Next). 

I specialise in social media analytics and tools and have also worked with the Mayor and the governing body (Nagpur Municipal Corporation) managing their social media accounts and have successfully increased followers significantly. 

My passion is storytelling in a most informed and creative way. I enjoy using the new-age digital tools, photography and film making. 

Through DiasporaHours, I hope to tell the wonderful stories of Britain's diaspora communities and how they have settled in a foreign country that they now call home.
